The Malaguista coach analyses the victory against Peña Deportiva: “I think we’ve recovered from the blow in the first tie, and now we need to give our all for the last round”.
Restorative victory
“The most important thing is getting through each round. You’ve already seen that the play-offs are very different from League games. I think we’ve recovered from the blow in the first tie, and now we need to give our all for the last round”.
Well-deserved result
“It was never going to be easy. There was a great deal of tension, and with just one goal they could have gone through. I think we had 15 very good minutes where we could have scored more than one goal, then they began to accumulate many players in one structure. We had to let them have the ball there, therefore they didn’t do too much behind our backs. I think in the second half they were somewhat better, but due to the opportunities we generated, we deserved to win”.
Peña Deportiva, major rival
“This is a team that is in Ibiza to gain promotion, with 2B salaries, and as we saw, they are a good side so we were prepared for a struggle. The next match will be the same. I would like to thank and congratulate the players, as after the emotional blow they experienced, this will help us a lot”.
Good work
“Football is one of those sports where dominance doesn’t signify goals, it’s not like basketball. That’s the greatness football has. I believe we didn’t suffer in excess, and although they had the ball, they didn’t create too many goal chances, which is important. We had six or seven, and managed to score three times”.
