Rondón: “We have the human and sporting resources to do things properly”

MCF’s Venezuelan forward, Salomón Rondón, was the Malaguista player who this morning attended the press conference at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium

Rondón’s statements

(Previous match).  “After every game you’ve got to regroup, now we’re facing Barcelona and we hope to turnaround the situation that we’re in now.  The match – Gijón – was pretty crazy, the two goals were at the end; we thought we could win but at the end they had the luck.  We looked silly as a point slipped through our fingers.  The second goal killed us.  You have to be self-critical, as players we have to have the same mentality that we had against Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid.  We have the mentality to move this on.”

(Dynamic). “Anxiety, no, even though we’re in a negative phase, but everyone goes through that.  But we’re alright and improving day by day and now we have a game against Barcelona in which to achieve three points.”

(Personal).  “I’m doing what the boss tells me, I’m happy with the system and it’s given us results.  We must continue doingt he same.  Loss of prestige?  If people evaluate me by goals, yes, but I have to do what they tell me to do and then later we’ll see what happens.”

(Barcelona). “People know that with Barcelona it’ll be a pretty dynamic match, it’s a great team, and they’ll be coming to get the three points; it’s a special game for us as we could turn the current situation around.  It would be great to do that in front of our home crowd, winning three points so that people are more relaxed and that things move forward in a different way.  Those who play in the Copa?  An extra bit of fatigue would be normal, and they have some absences which could come in handy.”

(Belief).  “We’re convinced we can move this forward.  We have the human and sporting resources to do things properly.”

(Kameni).  “A great goalkeeper, I know him by sight, at Espanyol he didn’t play much last year, but what I’ve seen of him he’s a brilliant goalkeeper, and if he’s coming to contribute, that would be welcomed.”
