Robles and Fernández heading to the European qualifiers with the U-19s

The two Blue and White homegrown players have been called-up to Spain’s U-19s for the Elite Mini-Tournament, corresponding to the XVII European Championships of the category.

Álex Robles and Álvaro Fernández, who were in training recently with the national team at the RFEF’s Ciudad del Fútbol, will represent Málaga CF in a qualifying tournament taking place in Benidorm (Alicante) ahead of the U-19 European Championship.

The Malaguista defender and goalkeeper will join the Spanish national team on Sunday 18th March, returning to the Club’s discipline 10 days later.

Spain’s match calendar is as follows:

  • 21st March: Spain U-19 vs Bulgaria U-19 (18:00, Estadio Municipal Guillermo Amor)
  • 24th March: Spain U-19 vs Belgium U-19 (18:00, Estadio Municipal Guillermo Amor)
  • 27th March: France U-19 vs Spain U-19 (17:30, Estadio Municipal Guillermo Amor)
