Málaga CF held an institutional meeting with representatives of Deportes Bantrab, an initiative through which Grupo Financiero Bantrab promotes sport as a tool to support personal development, education and wellbeing in Guatemala.

The visit followed interest shown by Bantrab several months ago in gaining first-hand insight into the methodology and working processes of Spanish football, as well as exploring opportunities for knowledge transfer exclusively in the sporting and educational fields. The aim was to establish a knowledge exchange that could benefit both parties and contribute to the development of football in Guatemala.

The initiatives discussed include knowledge- and experience-sharing programmes between coaching staff, visits to the Blue and Whites’ facilities, attendance at training sessions and an insight into the different departments that make up Málaga CF’s sporting structure. The possibility of developing educational programmes for Guatemalan coaches and young footballers was also discussed, giving them the opportunity to enhance their development through The Academy’s methodology.

The proposal aims to share procedures, experiences and working models that can support the growth of the participating sporting structures, while strengthening the ties of cooperation between the two institutions.

The visit forms part of an ongoing process of discussions and analysis to assess potential future sporting collaborations. The agreement is still in the drafting stage.

Through these meetings, Málaga CF continues to strengthen its international presence and share the knowledge it has gained from professional football in Spain with organisations such as Bantrab, which share a vision of sport as a tool for personal development and wellbeing. The Club also aims to expand both its own brand and that of LALIGA internationally.
