The winger, who made his LaLiga debut against Real Sociedad, tells MCFTV about his first months at the Club: “The truth is I’m very happy.”
The young Uruguayan defender visited CEIP Pintor Denis Belgrano this Thursday, along with his compatriot, Yamila from Atlético Málaga, as part of the Blue and Whites’ Values campaign. Ricca said to the Club media that “the rhythm here is much higher, and obviously, this increases game by game.”
Adapting
“I’ve been in Málaga for some time, and the truth is I’m very happy. I’ve adapted fairly well and my teammates have been fantastic. The city, from what I’ve seen so far, is beautiful and I feel like I really fit in well.”
Chory Castro and Gato Romero
“I’ve been with Chory since the first day I arrived. He’s helped me a great deal and I’m extremely grateful to him and Gato, as well as all my teammates, although obviously I’ve spent more time with them. They’ve all helped me, not just from a footballing aspect, but also outside of the game.”
Debut
“I made my debut against Real in what was a difficult match, but I felt very comfortable. I think we did what the coach asked of us, we scored a goal and were winning, but the rival later equalised from an offside position. However, I think we played well that day and I’m pleased with my debut.”
Higher rhythm
“The rhythm here is much higher, and obviously, this increases game by game. I need to improve every day in order to be prepared, so when I have the chance again, I can perform at my best.”
Blue and Whites’ Values
“I was delighted when I was told to come here to visit this school. Spending time with the children is wonderful, and it’s great to convey to them what it’s like to be a footballer. One must always be willing to help.”
