Josep Clotet’s boys put on an excellent performance on Sunday, against one of the teams expected to be in the relegation play-offs, but current leaders just a point in front of the ‘Malaguistas’.
The motivation, intensity and fast pace shown by the Blue and Whites at the ‘Federación Malagueña de Fútbol’ ground, prevented any real goal opportunities for the rival. Atlético Malagueño opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a goal from Samu Castillejo, with Linares equalising later on in the game following a counter-attack. Despite not claiming victory, the Blue and Whites played very good football, with a positive performance from every player.
