“We knew that gaining a point in Madrid would boost the team’s confidence, so we needed to endorse it tonight with three points.  We did it, so we’re all very happy,” comments Recio.

The Málaga-born player adds: “This has just started.  The team is working extremely hard and the games we’ve lost up to now have been down to small details.  We’ll continue to fight and hope the fans can enjoy a great season with us.”

Miguel Torres also appeared in front of the media after tonight’s match: “We started off well which allowed us to take the lead quickly.  We were eager to play a good match this evening, particularly here at home.  I think we achieved a strong result, but it’s a shame it comes just before a League break as when you find a good dynamic like this, it’s best to continue.  However, tonight’s match is one to enjoy, and a home win is important for all of us.”
