Recio: “We can’t wait to play at the weekend”

The Málaga CF midfielder analyses the pre-season in a press conference: “We’re working very hard on attacking aspects with the ball.”

Pre-season

“Since we started training it’s been quite heavy going, as it should be during the pre-season.  This month and a half is what we need to ensure we’re physically prepared and fully fit for the start of LaLiga, which is what we want, and which is our aim.  We’re getting there, the more work we do.”

Trip to Germany

“We can’t wait for the weekend, to do what we enjoy doing best, competing and playing football.  Above all, experiencing the sensations we’ve been having in games, knowing that we always like to win.  However, now we need to focus on working in the way the coach wants us to, how to approach matches, take on the concepts we’ve been conveying little by little, and ensure they are reflected in the games we play in Germany.”

Juande Ramos

“He’s not a coach who likes his team to remain at the back.  He wants pressure after a loss.  This is something we had last season, and they are factors we should never lose.  We’re working very hard on attacking aspects with the ball.  The coach also likes us to work with the ball, look after it, which are important things to keep focusing on, with the new signings who have arrived.  We all must conform and do what the coach wants.”

Signings

“I’m happy with the new players.  Every season, players come and go.  This year a lot of young players have arrived, all hungry to succeed, and all very nice people.  They’re all adapting very easily to the group, and we are taking care that they do so.  If they integrate quickly in the dressing room, the quicker their confidence will grow on the pitch, and we’ll be able to see their style of play.  I don’t think in that sense they’ll have any problems.  We’re all delighted with the new signings and I hope they all have a good year.”
