1,500 kilos of equipment and 4,500 kilometres covered on the European tour
The Blue and Whites’ expedition is heading to Holland for various friendlies. See how they prepare for a pre-season trip.
The cases are ready and everyone is full of excitement ahead of Málaga Club de Fútbol’s tour kicking off today in Europe. The first stop is Maastricht. Once there, the team will be staying at Kasteel Vaalsbroek hotel in the Netherlands, until Saturday 30th July.
Organising such a trip isn’t easy. 1,500 kilograms of equipment needs to be transported over4,500 kilometres, so extensive preparation is key to ensure no details are missed. Nothing can be left to improvisation.
This is the time of year when Málaga CF’s equipment managers, Miguel Zambrana and Juan Carlos Salcedo work the hardest. They are in charge of making sure everything arrives at the destination in perfect condition.
Boots, shoes, sandals, socks, trousers, shirts, sweatshirts, tracksuits, raincoats, towels, four sets of kits and other training wear, as well as 40 footballs, are just some of the equipment making its way by road to Holland.
Not forgetting the equipment needed for training sessions; pikes, cones, hurdles, goals, even water and isotonic drinks.
The Blue and Whites will also be making stops inBelgium and Germany during the tour, which ends on Saturday 30th July, following the last friendly game in Germany againstFortune Düsseldorf.
