Recio returns to the group dynamic

The Málaga CF captain was back in training with his teammates this Wednesday morning, having overcome the hamstring discomfort to his left leg.

Good news from the infirmary. Blue and Whites’ midfielder, José Recio returned to the group dynamic this morning, after overcoming the contracture to the hamstring in his left leg, which prevented him from training with the team for two sessions, and taking part in the Copa del Rey match against CD Numancia.

The Malaguista squad kicked off training in the Ciudad de Málaga stadium’s interior galleries, before moving on to the pitch to continue the session, on a morning marked by rainfall.

The starting players from yesterday’s match against Numancia underwent continuous running, with the exception of Andrés Prieto and Cifu (both suffering with a gastric virus) and Luis Hernández, Adrián and Borja, who exercised in the gym as a precaution. Paul Baysse, with the Club’s permission, wasn’t part of the session with the team today, and focused on solitary training. Kuzmanovic was back to work on the pitch, using the ball, under the instruction of fitness trainer, Hugo Camarero.

Homegrown players, Álex Robles, Kellyan (goalkeeper), Manu Alemán and the usual Mula were in first team training under Míchel’s orders this morning.

The team will resume training tomorrow, Thursday (10:30) at La Rosaleda’s facilities. Míchel will subsequently hold a press conference ahead of #MálagaLevante.
