More than 70 groups cheer on the team in the ‘Charity Match’

The MCF Foundation donated around 4.000 tickets to Málaga associations, and helped collect more than 5.000 kg of foodstuffs, thanks to the work of Joyería Marcos.

For the third consecutive season, Málaga CF repeated the ‘Charity Match’, attended by more than 70 Málaga-based charities. A special day for many, as it was their first time watching a match live at La Rosaleda stadium. Although Málaga CF was unable to defeat CD Numancia, and was knocked out of the Copa del Rey, the crowd enjoyed the great atmosphere of football at the Malaguista ground.

Statements to MCFTV

  • Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti’ (MCF Foundation): “On behalf of Málaga CF and the Foundation, we are delighted that the 70 associations have the opportunity to see Málaga at La Rosaleda”.
  • Chechu Muñoz (Fundación Don Bosco): “We’re here with more than 50 boys and girls from the Fundación Don Bosco. We’re fortunate to be able to share this moment. They came prepared with their banners, shirts and are full of excitement”.
  • Rafael Gallardo (Asociación Down Málaga): “They are all Malaguistas, and are very much looking forward to watching the match and supporting Málaga”.

For their part, Joyería Marcos donated a thousand tickets to 10 soup kitchens, which were exchanged for foodstuffs to stock up their cupboards.
