Ramón, quality assured until 2024

The young homegrown player, in his second season with the first team, has had his contract automatically extended until 2024.

Ramón Enríquez Rodríguez (Órgiva, 2001) arrived from Granada as a young boy to form part of the MCF Academy since the 2013/14 season. Together with his inseparable teammate, Ismael Casas, among many others who continue training within the Blue and White youth ranks, he was recruited by the clinical eye of Manel Casanova.

His individual technique and an innate talent for passing in the wide area of midfield made him progress quickly within the youth teams. His name began to resonate in the 17/18 campaign, as part of a generation of promising footballers who led CD San Félix to the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey Juvenil, against the almighty Real Madrid CF.

In addition, he’s been a regular fixture in the youth ranks of "La Roja" up to the U-19 category. The Granada-born player made his Málaga CF debut in the LaLiga SmartBank 19/20 season opener, winning at El Sardinero (0-1) against Real Racing Club de Santander.

His consolidation in the first team, whilst still registered to the reserve team, came at the start of the 20/21 season. Almost always forming a double pivot in midfield with another homegrown player, Luis Muñoz, Ramón has become a regular in Sergio Pellicer's starting-11, proving his immense quality on the pitch.

His great future is already in the present thanks to the commitment and faith he shows in training and in every match he plays, always growing hand in hand with the team and the Club. Congratulations on your contract renewal and continue to succeed, Ramón!
