#MálagaRealSociedadB match preview

Málaga CF Femenino face Real Sociedad B in the semifinals of the promotion playoffs to Primera Federación. The first leg will take place on Sunday at 13:00 at the Ciudad Deportiva Fundación MCF.

The Malaguistas, second place in Group 3 of the Segunda Federación, will face the second-placed team from Group 1 of the third tier.

Héctor Díaz’s team, runners-up in their group, collected 51 points in 26 matches, with 15 wins, 6 draws, and 5 losses. They scored 50 goals and conceded 21.

The Real Sociedad reserve team, meanwhile, also finished as group runners-up with similar numbers: 55 points in 26 matches, 17 wins, 4 draws, and 5 defeats, scoring 56 goals and conceding 21.

Málaga arrive with confidence sky-high after a dramatic final league matchday in which they needed a win, combined with a defeat for Sporting de Huelva in Pozuelo de Alarcón. The team secured their playoff spot with a 0-3 away victory against Cacereño ‘B’, while the Huelva side lost 2-1 in Madrid.

The Basque side, only surpassed by Athletic Club’s reserve team, the group champions and direct promotion winners, alongside Sportextremadura in MCFF’s group (and Real Unión de Tenerife Santa Cruz in Group 2), arrived at the final regular-season matchday already mathematically qualified and finished as the least goals conceded team in Group 1 of the third-tier competition.

In terms of individual scoring, Málaga’s Alicia, with 12 goals, and Real Sociedad’s Ane Isasisasmendi, with 10, have been the top scorers of their respective teams.

The Blue and White supporters are expected to fill the stands at the C4 pitch of the Malaguista training complex. The match will also be broadcast on 101TV Málaga and on the official Málaga CF YouTube channel.

Vamos, Málaga!
