Real Racing Club – Málaga CF match preview

Málaga CF are up against Real Racing Club de Santander at the Campos de Sport de El Sardinero on league matchday 8. Kick-off is on Sunday at 18:30.

The Blue and Whites, with eight points in 14th place in the table, visit the Cantabrian team, which sits 4th with 13 points, in the promotion playoff spots for the First Division.

Marta Huerta will referee #RacingMálaga. The 35-year-old from Palencia is starting her second season in the Second Division. She will be assisted in the VAR by David Gálvez from Madrid.

• In the First Division, Racing de Santander and Málaga CF have faced each other 10 times in Cantabria, with Málaga CF recording five wins, two draws, and three losses. In addition, they met once in the Copa del Rey in the 2007/08 season, with the home team winning 2-0.

Only victory. CD Málaga played 13 away matches against the Santander team. Their sole win came in the 1987/88 season, in the Second Division, when Kubala’s “Súper Málaga” triumphed 0-2 with goals from Ruiz and Rivas.
