Málaga CF - Real Sporting match preview

Málaga CF hosts Real Sporting de Gijón at La Rosaleda on matchday 40 of LALIGA HYPERMOTION. The match kicks off tomorrow, Saturday, at 21:00.

The Malaguistas, currently 17th in the standings with 49 points, face this Asturian team sitting 15th with 50 points.

Saúl Ais Reig will officiate the #MálagaRealSporting match. The 39-year-old from Alicante is wrapping up his 10th season in Spain’s Second Division. He has refereed Málaga CF twice this 2024/25 season, once at La Rosaleda in a 1–0 win over SD Huesca, and once away in a 0–0 draw against CD Tenerife. In charge of VAR will be David Gálvez Rascón from Madrid.

•    MCF and Sporting also faced each other six times at Martiricos in the First Division between 2009 and 2016. The Blue and Whites recorded one draw and five wins.
