Preparations begin for Málaga-Cartagena

Málaga CF returned to training this Tuesday morning. The first session of the week took place at the Annexe and La Rosaleda, ahead of Sunday’s clash with FC Cartagena.

Sergio Pellicer’s men stepped on to the Annexe pitch at 10:30 this morning. A warm-up and activation exercises kicked off the session, then on the Martiricos main pitch the focus switched to technical-tactical work with the ball taking centre stage.

Lago Junior, who sustained injury during the last match in Vila-real, underwent an MRI that confirmed a muscular injury in the right median adductor (pending evolution).

Alfred N'Diaye, recovered from plantar fasciitis in his right foot, gradually re-joined the group. Víctor Olmo, in the final stage of his recovery, carried out the first part of training with his teammates.

There was the usual large representation from the MCF Academy in training today, namely Carlos López, Andrés Caro, Murillo, Loren, Cristian and Álex Calvo at full pace with the first team. Outside the group, Moussa underwent solo running whilst Haitam remained in the gym.

Tomorrow, Wednesday at 10:30, the second session of the week will get underway at La Rosaleda’s facilities.
