Málaga CF Femenino lost out to Real Betis Balompié ‘B’ on matchday 27 of Segunda Federación Grupo Sur. A goal from Pierina in the second half gave the three points to the Green and Whites.
The first part of the match advanced with barely any clear scoring opportunities, with the defenders prevailing over the forwards. Play was focused in midfield with few approaches to either goal.
In the second half the tone of the game hardly changed, until shortly before midway through. In an action highly close to being offside, local player Pierina put the Betis reserve team in the lead (1-0, 66').
In the last minutes of play, MCFF kept insisting, with more heart than football, but without reward. The match ended 1-0 in Sevilla and Málaga return home empty handed. Juanma's girls, with 41 points, remain in the upper-middle part of the table with no promotion options.
Málaga CF will compete again next week, at the Francisco Romero ground in Rincón de la Victoria against CD Femarguín, on league matchday 28.
