Physical and tactical training two days before #MálagaTenerife
Málaga CF resumed training this Friday morning at La Rosaleda Stadium for the second day on the bounce. Pellicer had 16 of the 18 professional players in training.
Today’s session was less intense, kicking off with physical exercises and stretching, under the supervision of trainers Julio Rodríguez and Enrique Ruiz. This was followed by rounds in groups and technical-tactical work with the ball for around an hour and a half.
In terms of names, just Lombán (COVID-19) and Sá (absent with the Club’s permission) were not in training today with the 18 professional team members. Mejías is back to fitness. In addition, there were six homegrown players under the coach’s orders today: Strindholm (new), Cristo, Mini, Benítez and the ‘juveniles’ Andrés and Loren.
Isma Casas and Ramón alternated between work in the gym and on the pitch, outside the group, as they continue with their respective recovery processes. Hicham, with discomfort to the left femoral biceps, remained in the gym today.
Tomorrow, Saturday at 10:30, the final preparatory session ahead of #MálagaTenerife will take place at La Rosaleda. Sergio Pellicer will then hold a remote press conference at the Club’s ‘Juan Cortés’ press room.
