Penultimate session before travelling to Gijón

Málaga Club de Fútbol’s first team have this morning taken part in their penultimate training session of the week before leaving for their next league clash in which they take on Sporting de Gijón on Sunday at 7.45 p.m.

For another day the session took place in the Ciudad de Málaga stadium, where Manuel Pellegrini’s men focused on rounds, passing, shooting and defence-attack exercises, before finishing-off with a mini match on a reduced pitch.

This morning Helder and goalkeeper Rubén were absent as they continue the treatments for their respective injuries; similarly, Julio Baptista is still undergoing recovering work at the Marbella clinic where he was operated on.  Also out was Joaquín who is on his way back from Egypt after having taken part in yesterday’s presentation of ‘The Challenge of the Pharaohs’ event, which the Blue and Whites are to participate in on 29th February.

Tomorrow, Saturday, the team will return to La Rosaleda where they’ll carry out a closed training session before manager Manuel Pellgrini hosts a press conference and announces the called-up players for the match against Sporting de Gijón.
