The Malaguista coach had a few words for MCFTV following the victory against Real Valladolid in the first friendly: “It’s going to be an unusual preseason”.
“Preseason games allow us to evaluate the team. We’re taking steps forward and I’m very happy with the group. I think we’re again seeing a committed team with clear concepts. In the first half the reserve team boys played a very complete match. Then, in the second half, with another mix of players, the team competed very well”.
A very different preseason
“It’s totally different. Situations that mean we won’t know our team until LaLiga SmartBank starts. Even when the competition is underway the market will still be open, all the circumstances the pandemic brought…It will be an unusual preseason, but not just for us, for all teams. We hope that little by little everything will be resolved so we can work with more peace of mind. We have to adjust to the day to day, as we did on the return to work post-lockdown. The planning is carried out daily, if not hourly. We’re always alert and ready to adjust all mechanisms. It’s going to be a difficult preseason, not just for us, for everyone”.
