Pellicer: “It’s the most exciting game in juvenil history”

Juvenil División de Honor coach, Sergio Pellicer spoke to MCFTV before heading to Denmark for the return leg (first leg, 2-0) of the UEFA Youth League second round knockout tie, between Málaga CF and FC Midtjylland.

Maximum excitement

“We’re tremendously excited.  This will be our fourth match in the biggest juvenil competition, and we have the intention of competing, continuing to grow and, if possible, being amongst the top 16 teams in Europe”.

Tough match

“We’re expecting a very difficult game, as despite our favourable 2-0 result from the first leg, the tie is very much open.  The conditions are totally different so we’ll need to adapt quickly.  The climate, field of play and external conditions will all favour the rival”.

Historic match

“I don’t know when a match such as this will be repeated.  It’s more than important, I would say it’s the most exciting in juvenil history.  The best thing is travelling to Denmark to compete, so everyone in Europe sees the Málaga name.  Taking part and winning the tie, under these conditions, is wide open”.
