Málaga CF coach, Manuel Pellegrini, held a press conference at the San Siro, along with Eliseu.
Pellegrini
“I’m sure that if a team goes out there hoping for a draw, then they’re bound to lose. We never think about a draw, we’re determined to win the three points and ensure our qualification to the next round, however not just from the end result, but from our performance. Toulalan is back in the line-up and is available as an alternative player.”
“Milan have a lot of history in this competition. Although Málaga are new to the Champions League, we’ve shown that we’re more than capable of competing at this level. We’re full of motivation and looking ahead to tomorrow’s match.”
“It’s difficult to analyse the performance of a team like Milan. All their matches are different, but they’ll definitely be putting the pressure on us tomorrow. We’re fortunate to have nine points, though Milan will be fighting for victory in this second leg match.”
“We’re angry and disappointed following our defeat on Saturday. Our performance wasn’t good enough on the pitch in that match, though I don’t think it’ll affect us tomorrow.”
“Milan are used to pressure. The Italian League is tough, and Milan have played in numerous high-pressure games. I don’t think it’ll be a significant factor for either team tomorrow.”
Eliseu
“We’re aware that we only need one point, but we’re determined to win tomorrow and gain three points.”
“We’re not really feeling the pressure, however we do want to win this match, it’s so important for us and the future of the Club. The pressure is really on Milan who are behind us in the group stage, and will want to win in front of their fans to show what a great team they are.”
“It’s wonderful for a player to get the chance to play at the San Siro, but we won’t be concentrating on the atmosphere in the stadium, we’re just focusing on winning this match.”
“We’ve put last Saturday’s defeat against Rayo behind us. We didn’t perform well at all, and they really did play some good football. We’re now solely focused on tomorrow’s match.”
