Málaga CF coach, Manuel Pellegrini, held a press conference in La Rosaleda’s press room, following the match against Celta de Vigo. Iturra, Buonanotte and Willy appeared in the mixed zone.

“We’re all a bit disappointed as we were determined to get three points from this home match. I think we controlled the ball well and our defence was strong, as their chances at goal were few and far between. However we didn’t take advantage of many more opportunities throughout the match. I think we could have sealed our victory with a number of clear chances to score, but unfortunately Celta equalised.”
“We obviously wanted to take the three points from this game, but if a win isn’t on the cards, then it’s always better to draw than lose. I think an important factor however is the state of the pitch here, which is like an ice rink at the moment. All the players were falling over, which makes it very difficult to play good football. We’re all of the feeling that we could have done more.”
