Pellegrini: "There are six matches left to play, and the competition is fierce"
Málaga CF coach, Manuel Pellegrini, held a press conference this Saturday, at La Rosaleda.
Statements from Pellegrini
MCF-Real Sociedad “It’s our third match of the week, and tomorrow we’ll decide which players will be in the starting 11. We’ve played two matches this week, both with different outcomes, and now we’re focusing on getting the three points at home, in our ongoing fight to qualify for Europe. I think Real will put a lot of pressure on us, they need to get 42 points, and will make it a difficult match”.
Trust in Rubén “We’ll see tomorrow how Rubén gets on. He hasn’t got any problems, and if we didn’t have faith in him, he wouldn’t be in the team. He’ll play well like he always does”.
Final stretch “There are six matches left to play, and the competition is fierce. We need to focus on each match and get as many points as we can. Every team has great players, and Real is no exception. The Spanish League is very tight, and we need to play well in order to remain in the top spots. The less points our rivals get the better, but we’re only concentrating on us, and maintaining our League position”.
Not a definitive match “The most important thing is that Málaga qualifies for Europe, and any other achievements along the way would be great. A win tomorrow will give us an advantage over other teams, but won’t be a definitive match, albeit in our favour or not”.
