Victory to end the season

“We’re delighted with the result.  It was a key match in order to end the season in the right way, enabling us to relax over the holidays and prepare for the next competition.  It’s also encouraging for the fans ahead of next season, which I think is well-deserved as the team has been consistent throughout the year.”

Eighth place

“The objective was to stay in the First Division.  We knew we had a quality group, ambitious and we always looked up, far more than we looked down.  We were close to qualifying for Europe.  The team has a great deal of merit, and stability is good for Málaga.”

Next challenges

“I’m happy to play and do so in the best way possible.  I’ve always believed in myself, and of course, Mexico.  I feel both physically and mentally fit.  I always feel prepared, and am ready for the important challenges to come – to perform well and get as far as we can in the Copa America.”
