Muñiz: “It’s one of the best matches in LaLiga 1 | 2 | 3”

The Málaga CF manager spoke ahead of the #MálagaGranada of the good form of the two teams and stressed that it will be a very exciting clash for the atmosphere and for the positions that both clubs occupy on the qualifying table.

A great match

“We have to respect everyone, we know that there’s a very good team coming that’s been in the top of the league since the league started - but if we say that they’re a good team, we also have to say that we are a good team too. At the moment, we’re ahead of them and we are in the same situation since the start of the season, it’s one of the best games that the Second Division can offer, with a great atmosphere, with two teams in good form, fighting for an important goal. We need maximum concentration, maximum level in our game play, and to be at the level that Granada is going to demand. I hope we’ll see a very good game.”

Important points

“All the points are important, therefore we can’t waste any. Tomorrow’s are important because they are the most recent, they are important because the opponent is at the top of the ranking. Playing at home, we’re going to have many things in favour, but we have to give a very good performance because they will demand it from us.”

Equality

“It’s a game in which two of the best teams in the category will face each other.  We have a number of important points; they’re coming from behind with a great level because they are still very close to the teams that are above them and they have even been above, but in the last two games they’ve lost some points. This is normal within this category, everyone is going to go through those moments. What needs to happen is to be well-positioned for when the key moments of the season come along and we get on a streak that puts us up and keeps us up.”

Away from home

“We’ve always said that the category is very hard, very difficult. There’ve been comments about getting points away from home, but I have analysed what points the other teams have and we are in the average of the rest of the teams; we are fifth or sixth with eight points. It’s significant that the teams are strong at home and that the teams below achieve their goals at home, which shows that there is a lot of equality, that there is a very good level, and that when you go away from home the teams that are on their home turf press very hard. There’s no need to dramatize anything, just keep working and keep correcting the situations we can.”
