Over several decades, CD Málaga’s main rival was Granada CF, meeting on numerous occasions in a variety of competitions(1st, 2nd, 3rd Divisions, Copa del Rey and Promoción).
In what is referred to as the silver category of Spanish football, CD Málaga welcomed Granada CF 18 times, of these was the 11thmatch of the 1934/35 season when they were known as CD Malacitano and Recreativo Granada, respectively.
