Monreal, Isco and Cazorla, included in Spain’s national team for the Eurocopa
Málaga Club de Fútbol players, Monreal, Isco and Cazorla, are amongst the 21 players chosen for the national team by Vicente del Bosque, for the Eurocopa 2012 Poland and Ukraine.
Spain’s initial team line-up for the Eurocopa 2012 Poland and Ukraine:
GOALKEEPERS: Iker Casillas, Pepe Reina and De Gea.
DEFENDERS: Arbeloa, Sergio Ramos, Juanfran, Albiol, Jordi Alba, Monreal and Domínguez.
MIDFIELDERS: Xabi Alonso, Cazorla, Silva, Navas, Bruno, Isco, Beñat and Javi García.
STRIKERS: Negredo, Soldado and Adrián.
Speaking about Isco in a press conference, the national team manager, Vicente del Bosque, highlighted his “great season with Málaga”.
As the called-up players were announced today, Tuesday 15th May, nine of the team will form part of the final line-up for this tournament. Players from the two finalists in the ‘Copa de S.M. El Rey’, Athletic de Bilbao and FC Barcelona, as well as Spanish players from Chelsea FC playing in the UEFA Champions League final, are not included in this line-up.
The definitive list will be announced on 27th May.
