Mikel Villanueva, whose contract with the Entity comes to an end on 30th June, joins the other footballers whose contracts are up (Sadiku, Buenacasa, Aarón, Lombán and Luis Muñoz) and will remain until the current Liga SmartBank season comes to an end in July.
The Venezuelan international arrived at Atlético Malagueño in the 15/16 season and competed in LaLiga Santander with Málaga CF in the 16/17 season. Following time on loan with Cádiz CF, CF Reus and Nàstic de Tarragona, he returned to MCF in the 19/20 season, playing a total of 15 league games (one goal, one assist) and another goal in the Copa del Rey.
Málaga CF thanks Mikel for his commitment and professionalism ahead of the final stretch of the league season and his help towards reaching the sporting objectives set by the Club.
