Miguel Torres visits the children at Materno hospital

The Malaguista defender distributed gifts and smiles to the boys and girls on the Haematology-Oncology ward at Hospital Materno-Infantil in Málaga.

Málaga CF defender, Miguel Torres wanted to meet the young fighters on the Haematology-Oncology ward, who are struggling to overcome their illnesses. A day after his renewal until 2020, the Blue and Whites’ footballer visited the hospital of his own accord: “They are great fighters. Often in our profession we talk about work, effort and sacrifice. In these situations, they can teach us many things”.

Torres distributed Malaguista jerseys bearing the number ‘23’ and his name, along with scarves, footballs and postcards, amongst other gifts. The boys and girls enjoyed the visit and posed for photos with one of their idols on the Málaga team. Also, their families loved seeing the happiness on the children’s faces.

“It’s a wonderful experience which I lived from the inside. I think we spent a great time with the boys and girls. It encouraged them a lot. They really appreciate anything we do for them,” says the Malaguista player.

Representative from the MCF Foundation’s Social Department, Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti’, accompanied Miguel Torres on the visit to Hospital Materno Infantil.
