Memory workshops 3.0 come to an end

This Tuesday 10th December, the Association of Ex-Málaga Football Players brought an end to the Memory Workshops that have been held for the third consecutive season.

The ‘Málaga CF Forever’, as the Blue and White veterans are known as, have been developing together with the FEAFV (Spanish Federation of Veteran Footballers) a lovely social project over the past three years to help to exercise the memory of residents at Grupo Ballesol.

A delegation led by president, Fernando Fernández, accompanied by Juanito Gutiérrez and Raúl Iznata headed up the last of the workshops – 11th this time around – in which a multitude of former Malaguista players participated, interacting with a large group of people reminiscing over photos, videos, historic moments, personal experiences…with football as the main link and Málaga taking centre stage.

A highlight during this season of workshops is the recent visit to La Rosaleda Stadium by the participants from Ballesol in Cerrado de Calderón. On 21st November, with MCF Foundation historian, Domingo Muñoz as guide, the patients and staff from the medical centre enjoyed the MCF Museum&Tour on a very special day for everyone.

Another year of memory workshops in the Cerrado de Calderón urbanisation came to an end, with the Forever and Ballesol hand in hand. Today there were up to four FEAFV workshops closing across the country, highlighting the importance of these events for the veterans’ associations.
