Mathijsen, first ‘Malaguista’ to debut in Euro 2012

Dutch defender, Joris Mathijsen was Málaga CF’s first player to appear in Euro 2012, playing for Holland in their second group stage match against Germany, for the entire 90 minutes (2-1).

With Santi Cazorla still not making his debut for Spain, one of the two Málaga representatives in Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine has made his debut.  However after their defeat against Germany, Holland now face a tough challenge to qualify for the next round.
