Match preview: #MálagaRealSporting

Málaga CF will host Real Sporting de Gijón at La Rosaleda today, on matchday 7 of LaLiga SmartBank, to bring an end to this midweek matchday.

The Blue and Whites, with 10 points and in 6th place in the standings, face the rival from Asturias with 13 points and in 2nd place, tied at the top with RCD Espanyol before the start of this matchday. Kick-off is this evening at 21:30 (GOL).

The match will be officiated by Eduardo Prieto Iglesias from Navarra, who has refereed Málaga CF in eight official matches: six in the First Division, one in the Second Division and one Copa del Rey clash. The only Málaga CF match he officiated in the Second Division was this season’s opener against CD Tenerife (2-0 win for the team from the Canary Islands). The results from these eight games are three wins, one draw and four defeats for the Malaguistas.
