Málaga CF are up against Granada CF, at La Rosaleda, on matchday 19 of LaLiga SmartBank. This midweek duel of Andalusian rivalry kicks-off on Thursday at 21:00.

  • This will be the second time MCF and Granada CF will play one another, at La Rosaleda, in the Second Division. The last league precedent, under the Club’s current name, ended in a 0-1 win for the visitors in the 18/19 season.
  • Both clubs have played each other at La Rosaleda 11 times - six in the First Division, once in the Copa del Rey and four in Segunda División B, one under the Atlético Malagueño name. The Malaguista results in these 11 matches are four wins, five draws and two defeats.
  • In the silver division, CD Málaga hosted Granada CF 18 times at Martiricos, the first one on matchday 11 in 1934/35, when the teams were called CD Malacitano and Recreativo Granada. That match, held at Baños del Carmen on 10th February 1935, ended in a Malacitanista victory by 3-1, with goals from Crespo, Tomasín and Larruskain. The results of these 18 matches, 14 at La Rosaleda and four at Baños del Carmen, were 12 wins, five draws and one defeat for CD Málaga, scoring 37 goals and conceding 12.
  • Malaguista legend, Sebastián Viberti played his first match with CD Málaga in a friendly against Granada CF, at La Rosaleda, on 26th November 1969. The match ended in a 3-2 win for the Malaguistas.
