The Malaguistas are seeking a pass to the round of 16 of the KO tournament, after losing out at Los Pajaritos by 2-1. Recio put Málaga ahead from a free kick in 21’, however Nacho and Escassi came from behind to give the Soria-based team the lead in stoppage time.
The match will be officiated by José María Sánchez Martínez. This is the second time the Murcia-born referee will take charge of a Málaga CF Copa del Rey clash, the last one being Mirandés-Málaga (2-1), on 3rd December 2015.
