Match preview: Málaga-Numancia

Málaga CF is up against CD Numancia today at La Rosaleda, in the round of 32 return leg clash of the Copa de S.M. El Rey. Kick-off is at 19:30 (Bein Sports).

The Malaguistas are seeking a pass to the round of 16 of the KO tournament, after losing out at Los Pajaritos by 2-1. Recio put Málaga ahead from a free kick in 21’, however Nacho and Escassi came from behind to give the Soria-based team the lead in stoppage time.

The match will be officiated by José María Sánchez Martínez. This is the second time the Murcia-born referee will take charge of a Málaga CF Copa del Rey clash, the last one being Mirandés-Málaga (2-1), on 3rd December 2015. The total number of MCF games he’s officiated is 7, with a balance of 2 victories and 5 defeats for the Blue and Whites.
