To take into account
- Málaga CF and CD Leganés have locked horns four times in official matches (home and away). The results favour the Malaguistas; three victories and one draw; nine goals scored and none conceded.
- Málaga CF, on matchday 8 of the previous 16 seasons in the First Division, has obtained seven victories, two draws and seven defeats.
- Roberto and Recio are the Malaguistas who have played the most LaLiga matches. The goalkeeper is the only one who has competed every match entirely; the captain, the only player on the brink of sanction with a cycle of four yellow cards.
- The genesis of Movilla. Quite simply one of the best midfielders in Málaga CF’s history. José María Movilla was part of the lower categories of Leganés until 15 years of age, when he joined the Real Madrid youth ranks. Years later, 'Movi' came to Málaga, becoming a key player in the promotions to Second Division (97/98) and First Division (98/99), as well as a motor for the team for another two seasons on the return to the elite.
