The Blue and Whites, with 41 points and in 10th place in the standings, are facing this rival with 29 points in 20th place.

The match will be officiated by Alejandro Muñiz Ruiz from Galicia. Up to now he has refereed two official Málaga CF games, which ended in a 2-0 win against Girona FC and a draw (1-1) against SD Ponferradina. Heading up the VAR is Víctor Areces Franco from Asturias.
