Manolo Gaspar and Málaga CF part ways

The Entity ends its contractual relationship with the Sporting Director after three and a half seasons in the role.

Manuel Gaspar Haro (3rd February 1981, Málaga) assumed Málaga CF's highest sporting responsibility on an interim basis on 25th October 2019. Since then, the former Blue and White player has carried out his work in various contexts. The 2020 summer transfer window was historically complex, the Entity executed a forced sports ERE (collective dismissal) and had a suffocating penalty of 18 professional registrations. Not to mention the limitations of the financial reality of MCF at that time.

The team managed to remain in LaLiga SmartBank despite the very adverse conditions in the following two seasons, but it wasn’t without difficulty. This, together with the Entity's financial engineering, allowed Málaga CF to guarantee its viability.

However, unfortunately, the sporting results of the 22/23 project haven’t met the Club's expectations, which led to the decision to end the contractual relationship that united both parties.
