Malaguistas for Nature

The Club’s commitment to the environment continues to gain strength, making La Rosaleda an eco-friendly ground.

In January 2019, Málaga CF and Coca-Cola presented a collaboration agreement involving the provision of recycling containers throughout the Blue and White stadium. On the day of their ‘debut’ during a LaLiga SmartBank match against UD Almería, 4,000 litres of waste was recycled, that went on to have a second life.

Out of this plastic, thousands of Malaguista scarves were made and distributed to fans who didn’t miss a match during the 18/19 season. These scarves were the first reflection of a new movement within the Entity.

During the present season, fighting to defend our ecosystem gained prominence, giving rise to the platform ‘Malaguistas for Nature’. A movement that aims to make the Malaguismo footprint indelible in football, but not in our natural environment. In collaboration with Grupo Safamotor, this April a charging point for plug-in hybrid vehicles was installed at La Rosaleda Stadium, available for players and staff. This is one of the many actions that will see the stadium adapt to our new philosophy. Change something in yourself to change the world!

Better football on a better planet.
