Manolo and Pellicer attend debut of ‘Academy of Values’

The Sports Director and Málaga CF first team coach were the first invited ambassadors of the MCF Foundation project, sponsored by Pinturas Andalucía.

Manolo Gaspar and Sergio Pellicer attended the ‘Juan Cortés’ press room at La Rosaleda on Tuesday for the first remote meeting via zoom focused on the ‘cadete’ teams within the MCF Academy. Head of the Blue and White youth ranks, Sergio Paulo Barbosa ‘Duda’ was also present at the event, coordinated by Lucas Rodríguez and Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti’, accompanied by Fernando González, coordinator of the Málaga Club de Fútbol Foundation’s Supercapacitad@s Football School.

Pinturas Andalucía, represented at the event by director of marketing, Manuel Espiritusanto, are sponsoring the ‘Academy of Values’ this year. A project by the Club’s Foundation, a pioneer in the world of football, that aims to give added value to the players within the Malaguista youth academy. Expressing values such as camaraderie, education, healthy habits and the correct use of social media, were the main points covered on this enjoyable first day that will continue conveying more experiences from Blue and White ambassadors.

For Manuel Espiritusanto: “It’s an honour and pleasure to collaborate in this project, as it’s in the DNA of the company. We must always support the youth teams. Ever since The Academy and MCF Foundation spoke to us about collaborating with this project, we had to be involved as it goes alongside our philosophy and strategy in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility. The work of these ambassadors is highly important.”

Manolo Gaspar wanted to “thank Manuel and Pinturas Andalucía for supporting this great initiative. For Málaga CF, the youth teams and society in general, this type of discussion is so important. It’s essential to be sponsored by such a large company that has been supporting our Club for so many years and allows us the opportunity to be here. This is just the start of an initiative that we will take to many clubs”.

For Sergio Pellicer “it’s been a pleasure to see so many children learn how to play, and grateful that their parents are with them. We’ll try to contribute the values through our experiences since we started this journey. I’m here to talk about any situation, help in any way I can, we’re always learning. Happiness comes from personal success and that will bring us closer to our dreams, with hard work”.

Over the coming five weeks, all Málaga CF youth teams will have their own weekly session from the ‘Academy of Values’. Vamos Málaga!
