Málaga CF will face CE Sabadell CF tomorrow, 7th March, on matchday 28 of LaLiga SmartBank, the day before International Women’s Day. A date that last year coincided with the final match featuring the fans at La Rosaleda.
On that day, the Malaguista Woman took centre stage in the run-up to the match, paying tribute to several illustrious athletes from the city. In addition, the VIP box featured mainly female representatives from various sports and political institutions. A wonderful atmosphere in a crowded stadium that could not have predicted what would come next; lockdown and subsequent capacity restrictions that remain in effect one year on.
This Sunday we want to honour our Blue and White female fans. The women who defend the colours with Courage and Heart. They may not be able to take their place at the stadium, but we’d love to see them flood social media. We ask all our female fans to upload a photo wearing their Malaguista finery, using the hashtag #SoyMujerSoyMálagaCF in the lead-up to #MálagaSabadell.
In addition, on Monday (8th March), female fans who make a purchase over €20 at the MCF Store La Rosaleda will receive a ‘Woman’ shirt from 19/20 season. Likewise, we’ll send an L size shirt to customers from the online store from 10:00 with a purchase over €20. Don’t forget, using the online platform, shipping is free for purchases over €35.
