Malaguista, Álvaro Fernández and La Rojita suffer minimal defeat against Brazil (2-1)

The Blue and Whites’ goalkeeper played for 90 minutes and made numerous saves, although didn’t manage to avoid conceding the two goals by the ‘Carioca’ rival.

Spain’s under-17s, with MCF Academy goalkeeper, Álvaro Fernández in the starting line-up, debuted in the category’s World Cup in India on Saturday with a 2-1 defeat against Brazil. Despite starting with an own goal by Brazil’s Wesley in minute 5 of play, the South American outfit came back with goals from Lincoln (25') and Paulinho (45').

The Malaguista goalkeeper, despite conceding two goals, was one of the standout players of the match, making several superb saves. La Rojita will be in action again in the World Cup in India on Tuesday (13:30) against Niger. North Korea, competing against Brazil, completes Spain’s group.
