Málaga CF Femenino defeated CP San Miguel by 8-0 in the fifth Segunda División Nacional Group IV match at the Ciudad Deportiva de Cártama.
The Blue and Whites got off to a strong start. They dominated the ball in the initial stages of play, which resulted in a warning signal from Encarni soon after kick-off showing CP San Miguel Málaga’s potential. After several minutes controlling the ball, a pass from Adriana to Sheila allowed the striker to open the scoring in minute 11, displaying a 1-0 lead on the scoreboard in a well-executed match by Antonio Contreras’ girls.
The Malaguistas continued feeling very comfortable on the pitch at the Ciudad Deportiva de Cártama, and the game was disputed in San Miguel’s area. Encarni had the chance to increase her team’s lead on various occasions, but it was Adriana in 23’, thanks to an assist from Encarni, who made it 2-0. Play remained the same, and in the 35th minute, a ball from Adriana collided with the post, and warned the rivals that the 3-0 wasn’t far away. Indeed, it came four minutes later as the striker hooked the ball and sent it into the back of the net with a header, making it a 3-0 lead at half-time.
The dynamic stayed the same in the second half. The locals dominated the match without any problems, and five minutes into this half, a header from Sheila increased the lead to 4-0. The goals kept on coming for the Malaguistas. Adriana scored her ninth goal in minute 53’ to put the Blue and Whites 5-0 in front, and football was fair to Encarni who launched an unstoppable ball at the target to score the 6-0. The Málaga girls created more opportunities, and Contreras made some changes to give minutes to Karina, Kerlly and María R. With just five minutes to go until the final whistle, Karina drove the ball without any complications, reached the small area and scored the 7-0.
