This derby was very different to other matches in this category.  Both teams were determined to take the lead, with just three matches left until the end of the season.
 
El Palo arrived at the ‘Federación Malagueña de Fútbol’ ground having had a very successful few months, and with more experience than the ‘Malaguistas’ in this type of game.  There was a notable lack of intensity in the first half, despite both teams having everything to play for.  El Palo opened the scoring in the second half, and just when it looked as though they could take the victory, Atlético Malagueño managed to equalise.
 
This draw leaves the Blue and Whites able to continue on in their fight to end the season as group leaders.
