Malagueño manage a draw against El Palo (1-1)

Atlético Malagueño and CD El Palo have met for the 38th match of Group Four in the Third Division, a game which ended with a one-all draw.

The match between the Malaguistas and the Paleños got off to an unbalanced start with a penalty whistled in favour of the visitors in minute 8, which was taken by Carreño.  From that moment, Atlético Malagueño dominated the game and secured various good chances in this first half, but the attack moves, which mainly came from the wings, weren’t able to reach the rival’s goal, allowing El Palo to go into half time with a minimal advantage.

The second half of the clash once again saw Jaime Molina’s men control the ball and generate some clear chances.  Their patience and consistency paid off when, in an almost rogue move towards the end of the match, Cala was able to shoot and score, meaning there was a draw in the game in which two local players (Juanillo and Tapia) were sent off.

The one-all tie leaves Atlético Malagueño in fifth position on the Group Four Third Division table with 67 points.
