Málaga joins the tribute to Antonio Álvarez

The Club was present at Sevilla FC’s recognition of who was a former Blue and Whites’ player for four seasons. Ben Barek presented him with the Málaga CF gold badge.

Málaga CF joined the Sevilla Club’s tribute to Antonio Álvarez today in the Andalucían capital.  A representation from the Blue and Whites’ Club, headed up by adviser, Abdallah Ben Barek went to Sevilla to attend the event.

Antonio Álvarez was part of the Málaga team for four seasons, from 1988/89 to 1991/92, taking part in 105 matches before he moved to Granada CF, where he ended his sporting career.

Ben Barek, who gave an emotional speech recalling the former player’s time within the Málaga ranks, presented him with the Málaga CF gold badge to mark his career and commitment during his years wearing the Blue and Whites’ shirt.

Representatives from Sevilla FC, Málaga CF, Real Betis, Cádiz CF and Granada CF, as well as the Andalucían and Spanish Football Federations and Junta de Andalucía attended the event.
