Statements by Ruth

Take Málaga to the top

“We’re working with the same enthusiasm and eagerness as always as now we need to take Málaga as high as possible. We can’t wait for the season to start”.

Training on natural turf

“We are very happy at this commitment to the women’s team and how we’ve changed the surface of play”.

Adapting to new teammates

“Little by little we’re gaining confidence. They are great footballers, but above all they are great people, so we’re gradually getting to know each other and becoming a tight-knit group. It’s going to take a lot for our rivals to beat us”.

First League match

“In this League every rival is extremely tough, but working with our level of enthusiasm, with such eagerness and intensity, we’ll make things difficult for any opponent, whether they are the champions or not”.

Player with the most minutes

“I hope I’ll be able to do it again. I’m going to work hard for it and continue learning and improving”.

Statements by Leti

Intensity

“The first few days have been very good, very intense, but I knew Antonio from Atlético de Madrid and Levante so was aware of his methods of work. The new girls are adapting, we’re doing pretty well”.

A group with the same objective

“We all have the same objectives. We know the first rival is Atlético de Madrid, and although there are many new players, 11 incorporations, we’re all moving in the same direction. The new girls are adapting to the players who were here last year, and we can’t wait for the first match”.

Camaraderie

“From the outset the players have been very close and helped us with everything. Hopefully it will carry on like that”.

The fans

“I’d heard that the Málaga fans are great. I’ve only been here a week and people have stopped me in the street saying that they’ll support the new Málaga players to the max”.
