Málaga Femenino denied by a solid Valencia (1-4)

Latest signings Ode Fulutudilu and Gaëlle Enganamouit debuted in the starting-11 with the Malaguista squad. The match was held at the Federación Malagueña de Fútbol ground.

Málaga CF Femenino lost out by 1-4 against Valencia CF Femenino, on the match corresponding to Liga Iberdrola matchday 19, at the Federación Malagueña de Fútbol ground.

Luck wasn’t on the Malaguistas’ side on this occasion. The Malagueñas stepped on to the pitch with new signings Ode Fulutudilu and Gaëlle Enganamouit as the main additions to the starting-11. The player from Cameroon had various opportunities in front of Jennifer’s goal, but didn’t manage to convert. Coleman, however, did score in minute 17 of play from a possible offside position. Despite Málaga maintaining possession and moving well with the ball, Carolina Férez made it 0-2 in the 30th minute. The score stayed the same at half-time.

In the second half, Valencia were far more solid and in possession of the ball. A foul on Gaëlle in 63’ in the six-yard box led to the referee awarding a penalty in favour of the locals. Adriana Martín scored from the penalty spot and Antonio Contreras’ girls narrowed the gap to 1-2. Valencia reacted quickly, focused upfront and in 80’ Sara Hernández made it 1-3. Mari Paz sentenced the match in 89’ with the 1-4.
