Following numerous goal opportunities for both teams, the locals opened the scoring in minute 20 thanks to Paco Pérez. Just when it looked as though the home side had clinched victory, the Blue and Whites turned the tables. A speedy display from Pineda led to the equaliser, and seconds later, Raúl Iznata gained possession to score Málaga’s winning goal.
