The ‘Cadete’ team turned the result around in yesterday’s match following an initial goal by Luzano for RCD Espanyol, thanks to two goals from Lucas Ezequiel and Rubén Sanchidrián, to win by 2-1. The Blue and Whites’ boys didn’t finish in the group top spot, as although they’re tied on four points with Atlético de Madrid, the rival defeated RCD Espanyol by 3-1, making a bigger goal difference.
The 5th to 8th places in the tournament will be decided this afternoon. Málaga CF is up against the second placed team in group C, Sevilla FC, at 2:45 p.m. Earlier in the tournament, Sevilla lost to Valencia CF (2-1) and defeated RC Celta de Vigo (3-0).
